Belize Tourism Board Reports Record
First Quarter for Ambergris Caye
The Belize Tourism Board reported last month that their records indicate an increase in overnight arrivals to the island of Ambergris Caye for the first quarter of 2016. The months of January, February, and March each saw a significant increase in the number of visitors. This comes immediately following a record year for tourism arrivals in 2015. Many hotel operators expect the increase to continue, sparking the question of where will all these visitors stay, since hotel rooms are all being booked.
